Fashion at NOUVEL

I like going out. I like dancing, having fun and hanging with my girls.
Friday and Saturday I am usually at NOUVEL - super cool place in Copenhagen, where you can get great cocktails and dance the night away:
http://nouvel.dk/
When I am out, I like watching peoples outfits. I love seeing the different styles. Some girls are more relaxed in their clothes, some really do some thing about it, and others are just TOO much. But I respect the way people express them self with their clothes, that is why it is interesting to watch, you can lean a lot.:-)
I took some pictures this weekend, from some outfits I liked. Maybe you will see some thing you like too. Enjoy:

(Some of the girls did not want there face to be showed, I had to respect that)

This girl looked fresh and "clean". Loved the simplicity of the outfit and the chunky jewelry around her neck:

The accessories to finish the look

In my latest blog I wrote about the winter fashion, and I showed you some ideas from the runway, to help you make that season a bit more fun with your personal style. Now I decided to share with you the accessories, that I think can finish that look. The designers go all the way this season, and make a lot of nontraditional shoes and bags (or at least for my taste).
I think there are few really cool pieces and some....hummm, lets say: things you will never see me walking around in (and not because I can't afford them:-)).
ENJOY ...

  Boots Donna Karan and Burberry
   Bag Hermes

Up Marc Jacobs
 Down  Yves Saint Laurent

     Shoes - Lanvin
Bag from lam skin - Celine
    Light rosa bag - Dior
    White bag - Chanel

                                                                         Up : Moccasins-Armani, bag- Fendi

P.S.....after all, there is a lot of the pieces that I would like to own,
but I think it is because of my love for shoes and bags in general

Looking hot in the cold...

I have always liked the summer - the beach, the nice warm evenings, cool clubs with beautiful people, girls wearing hot dresses... Some how; no matter where you are, there is always more fun when the sun is shining.
I love Copenhagen in the summer. It is so cosy.Islands Brygge, Kongens Have, Amager Strandpark...and every were, there are good looking people wearing smart outfits. Every one is trying to show off their sizzling sense of summer style. Bright colors, open shoes, lots of skin showing ;-)
Unfortunately summer in Copenhagen is over, and the clothes that are showing my legs, are back on the hangers. The weather outside is grey and rainy -and I hate it. People are wearing dark and boring clothes, rubber boots and rain jackets that fits the season. I was really depressed about that in the weekend, but then I started watching some pictures in Facebook from a friend of mine. He is a genuine playboy and there was a lot of pictures with him and different girls. Some of the pictures were from the winter, and the girls was wearing big jackets, scarfs, knitted hats, and it looked so cosy and warm in a way.... Then I thought to my self: winter outfits don't have to be plain and boring, they can be fun and chique. That is why I decided to share some cool runway outfits, that I think can make our winter a bit more enjoyable.

MICHAEL KORS

PRADA

D & G

D & G

ISABEL MARANT

RAG & BONE

JILL STUART

OSCAR DE LA RENTA

SALVATORE FERRAGAMO

Above there is some of the autumn/winter outfits that I like. Michael Kors is a genius that can make every woman look like a lady, in a very relaxing kind of way.
I am not really impressed with PRADA this season; not sure if it is the clothes or the models that look really pale and boring. I have never been a big fan of D&G, but this season, I got surprised with the nice combination of black and white, and the cute winter motives. I LOVED Isabel Marants collection for this season, the glitter leggings are amazing (I must find where I can buy a pair), she has them in multiple colors and combines them with knitted blouses or fur coats. AMAZING! Rag & Bone collection is young and fresh. I like the big cardigans, blouses and especially the oversized scarfs. Jill Stuart is bringing sexy back; short dresses, long boots, smokey eyes...lovely. The jacket from the picture looks SO cosy and I know for sure that I would love to own more of the outfits from his winter runway! Oscar De La Renta still keeps it glamourous, even though it is a bit too 80's for my taste. I like it. Salvatore Ferragamo uses the warm brown and beige colors, with the high waisted pants and long coats. Looking at his collection, it has a contemporary 60's feel to it.
I can keep on going, but I will let you have a look for your self and find your style for this winter.
Lets try to make it a bit more fun!!!

My style

As I promised; I will go into my  closet and give you a pick from some of the items I own and maybe inspire you, for your next shopping spree :-)
I am one of those lucky people that have a walk-in closet and I am LOVING IT!!! When we moved in this apartment, there was a big drama about, what this room should be used for-  should it be a room for all my things "my space" or if it should be turned into a wine cellar ( my bf loves wine).... I WON!
So... here are some of the things I want to share with you:

My favorite bag of all, MY Balenciaga.

It is a beautiful bag, with a lot of space in it, and has an amazing color. Many times I get pain in my stomach, thinking how much this bag costed, but every time I pass by a window or a mirror, I  look at it hanging there from my arm and I get so happy. Let say- the bag makes me smile:-)
(me wearing the bag)

This is a cardigan from Phillip Lim that I just bought and I think it is one of the most beautiful pieces I have seen in a long time. It was also very expensive, but I thought about it for a week and then I HAD to go and buy it.
Since I was 10 years old I have loved buying clothes. I was not always good at it :-), but I often remembered wanted some thing new. My family did not have a lot of money, so I had to go sell the fish my father catched from the sea, or my grand dad's tomatoes from the garden. -quite embaressing for a 13 year old(!) I remember being so happy when I finally had the money in my hands, and was on the way to the shop, buying my next item. There was ALWAYS some thing new I wanted. A few years ago, my mom told me that, I have constantly come running into the house with some new wishes, so she had to come with a plan (obviously because they could not buy me every thing I wanted), so her plan was: if I keep on talking about some thing for more than a week or two, that was because I REALLY REALLY wanted it, and then she would start considering buying it for me. But she said, that I often forgot about many of the things the day after. So now that is my plan too... If I think about the thing that I want to buy next, for more than a week, I go and get it.
That is what happened with that beautiful cardigan:

to be continued...

THE BEGINNING!!!

Today the 13th of September I decided to create my own blog.

I have been thinking about writing my blog for a while now, but I always postponed it.
So now I am ON!!!
Here you can read about me,my world and most about FASHION.
Like every girl/woman I love clothes, shoes, bags and accessories... I love watching the people on the street and what are they wearing. In town I always check out girls outfits and take tips and ideas.
I think the clothes express the personality you have, the mood you are in and the culture you come from.
I would describe my style as smart/ casual and I like wearing sexy/classic dresses when I am going out dancing. Love accessories, but I think it is a talent to use them smart and right. So in this aspect I am still learning.
I think in the future I will write about my day / night outfits, what is new, what to and not to wear( according to me), inexpensive VS. expensicve, I will be taking pictures of outfits that I think are cool from the streets and the night life of Copenhagen .....and of course what ever I feel for in this jurney that I am starting.

I hope you will be following me....
